Chaeban Ice Cream is a tenant fit up within the newly built commercial building in the South Osborne area of Winnipeg. The design was driven by the desire to produce ice cream entirely in-house while offering ample customer seating inside and creating a new, vibrant meeting space for the neighbourhood. Opening Chaeban Ice Cream allowed Joseph and his wife Zainab Ali, to bring 13 of her family members escaping the Syrian War to Winnipeg and offer employment to many of them. This could only have been achieved with the help of the South Osborne community, and the business maintains its strong links to the community through its continued charity work.
